A record $1 million was paid for the Grand Champion lamb at the 2026 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Junior Market Lamb Auction, the highest price ever for a lamb at the event.
The lamb, exhibited by 13-year-old Reagan Miller of Seagraves, Texas, was purchased by Jeffery Hildebrand in memory of his late daughter.
The auction also set records for other animals, including a $450,000 sale for the Grand Champion market goat and $310,000 for the Reserve Champion lamb.
