Maharashtra has launched India’s first AI-focused agricultural policy (2025–2029), aiming to boost farm output by 40%, cut water and fertilizer use by 40%–50% and 30% respectively.
The state is deploying AI, drones, robotics, and digital tools through initiatives like the Mahavistar app and Vasudha AI phone service, supporting over 3 million farmers with multilingual advice.
