Lieutenant General (Retd) Syed Ata Hasnain was sworn in as Bihar’s 43rd Governor on March 14, 2026, becoming the first former Indian Army officer to hold the post.
The ceremony, held at Lok Bhavan in Patna, was administered by Chief Justice Sangam Kumar Sahoo, with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and top officials in attendance.
