Kerala opens ₹20 crore health center with emergency, diagnostic, and specialty services, funded by NABARD and state funds.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated a five-storey Community Health Centre in Chakkarakkallu, costing ₹20 crore and funded by NABARD RIDF, state plan funds, and other sources.
The facility includes emergency services, diagnostic units, specialty clinics, oxygen rooms, and ambulance parking.
Vijayan highlighted Kerala’s low neonatal mortality rate—comparable to the U.S.—and credited the LDF government’s Aardram Mission and ₹500 crore in health infrastructure investments since 2016 for improving access to care, especially for low-income populations.
