Hunter Diel, 26, of western Kentucky, was sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree strangulation, fourth-degree assault, and being a persistent felony offender in connection with a 2025 domestic violence incident.
Court records show he slapped and strangled a woman by applying pressure to her throat.
The case was prosecuted by the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office and investigated by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
