An inquest into the 2019 drilling death of Sudbury man Mark Beskorowany begins April 8, 2026.
An inquest into the 2019 death of Mark Paul Joseph Beskorowany, a 54-year-old Sudbury man who died after a drilling accident at a mining site 100 km northeast of Sudbury, will begin April 8, 2026.
The mandatory inquest, delayed from fall 2025, will be presided over by Bonnie Goldberg and include about six witnesses via video conference.
Beskorowany, who worked for contractor Consbec, died at Health Sciences North on August 21, 2019, and was survived by his wife, two children, and expecting a grandchild.
The public can view the proceedings live online.
The jury may issue recommendations to prevent future workplace fatalities.
