Gujarat allocates ₹2,902 crore to boost youth jobs and worker welfare through skill training and social benefits.
Gujarat has allocated Rs 2,902 crore for its Labour, Skill Development and Employment Department in the 2026-27 budget to enhance youth employability and worker welfare.
Funds will support skill training through the Namo Gujarat Skill and Employment Mission, upgrade Industrial Training Institutes, and provide financial aid to female students.
Additional investments include low-cost meal booths, affordable housing for construction workers, mobile health services, accident compensation, and solar-powered homes for Agariya workers.
The state also aims to train over 60,000 people in the next few years to support its 2047 development vision.
