Cal State East Bay remained undefeated with an 83-64 win over Cal Poly Humboldt in the NCAA Division II West Regional opener, advancing to the second round with a 31-0 record. The top-seeded Pioneers, ranked No. 2 nationally, overcame a close first half, led by Tyree Campbell’s 18 points and 25 assists, and shot over 50% from the field. Cal Poly Humboldt, led by Drew Ardouin’s 17 points, fought hard but was outmatched by Cal State’s depth and intensity. The Pioneers will face Cal State Dominguez Hills in the next round.
