Timothy Wooster, 45, of Jericho, pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and other charges in connection with a December 17, 2025, wrong-way crash on Interstate 89 that killed 21-year-old Hailey Westcot of Northfield.
Wooster, driving northbound in the southbound lane for about 1.5 miles, collided head-on with Westcot’s vehicle in Bolton, where she died.
Authorities found no evidence of impairment but said Wooster claimed he was unwell and tired.
Witnesses reported his actions appeared intentional, though no conclusive cause has been determined.
Wooster was released on a $50,000 unsecured bond and is scheduled for his next court appearance in about a month.
The investigation continues.
