Saskatchewan legalizes tailgating with alcohol at Mosaic Stadium for 2026 CFL season.
Saskatchewan has passed The Tailgating Act, allowing fans to legally consume alcohol and tailgate in designated areas at Mosaic Stadium ahead of the 2026 CFL season opener.
The law, which amends the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act, permits special permits for public alcohol consumption and enables the Roughriders to sell season-long tailgating spaces for $500 each.
The team held a lottery for season-ticket holders from February 23 to March 5, with winners to be notified in April.
The initiative, developed with input from multiple stakeholders including police, fire, and health officials, aims to enhance the game-day experience while ensuring safety.
The Roughriders will open the 2026 season on June 13 against the B.C.
