Mondo Duplantis broke the men’s pole vault world record for the 15th time, clearing 6.31 meters at the Mondo Duplantis Memorial in Uppsala, Sweden, on March 12, 2026.
The 26-year-old Swedish athlete, a two-time Olympic and three-time world champion, achieved the mark on his first attempt at the height, surpassing his previous record of 6.08 meters by 23 centimeters.
He cleared 5.65m, 5.90m, and 6.08m on his first tries before the record jump.
Norway’s Sondre Guttormsen finished second with 6.00 meters, while Americans Zachery Bradford and Sam Kendricks placed third and fourth, both clearing 5.90 meters.
The event, held in Duplantis’s adopted hometown, marked his second world record in Sweden, following a 6.28-meter leap in Stockholm in June 2025.
