The measures include mandatory follow-up hearings, lifetime firearm bans for non-felony domestic assault convictions, and elimination of the 72-hour arrest window for non-felony cases, a rule critics say allows abusers to evade capture.
Testimony from survivor Jana Williams, whose niece was killed after an arrest was delayed, highlighted the urgency.
All three bills passed unanimously in committee and are moving forward.
