H3 Energy seeks partners to drill Australia’s largest undrilled onshore gas site in South Australia, targeting up to 4.3 trillion cubic feet of gas and potential hydrogen and helium.
H3 Energy, an ASX-listed company, is seeking partners for its Alinya project in South Australia’s Officer Basin, home to the Rickerscote Prospect—a large, undeveloped onshore site with estimated gas resources up to 4.3 trillion cubic feet and oil up to 1.3 billion barrels.
The project, one of Australia’s largest undrilled onshore structures, holds potential for hydrogen and helium, with high-case estimates of 1.2 billion kilograms of hydrogen and 209 billion cubic feet of helium.
H3 Energy, which owns 100% and operates the site, has enlisted LAB Energy to attract industry partners to drill the Rickerscote-1 well within 12 months of funding and approval, leveraging proximity to the Moomba gas hub to reduce costs.
Over 20 additional prospects are identified, raising hopes for a basin-opening discovery.
