Two teens, including Ibrahim Kayumi, made emergency calls from their home before a foiled ISIS-inspired attack in NYC.
Three emergency calls were made from the home of Ibrahim Kayumi, one of two teens accused in a foiled ISIS-inspired attack in New York City, on Saturday and Sunday, according to dispatch logs.
The calls, placed at 4:15 p.m., 9:19 p.m., and 8:54 p.m., went to 911 or non-emergency lines, but their purpose remains unknown.
Kayumi, 19, and Emir Balat, 18, allegedly traveled from Pennsylvania to New York City to carry out an attack using a device made of TATP and metal fragments.
Surveillance footage showed their vehicle entering the city before the planned attack.
Kayumi’s parents reported him missing after he failed to return home, and both suspects’ families have not commented.
Authorities are continuing their investigation.
