Standard Bank, Africa’s largest bank, reported an 11% rise in annual headline earnings to R49.2 billion ($2.97 billion) for 2025, driven by higher fee and trading income, lower credit impairment charges, and strong cost management.
Net interest income grew 4%, while net fee and commission revenue rose 11% and trading revenue increased 10%.
The non-performing loan ratio improved to 73 basis points.
