A man was arrested for pointing an AR-15-style rifle at a woman during a road-rage incident after she honked.

A 32-year-old Buckeye man, Erik French, was arrested after allegedly pointing an AR-15-style rifle at a woman during a road-rage incident on March 10. The woman honked after French nearly hit her car while backing out of a parking spot. He exited his Jeep Gladiator, retrieved the rifle, and pointed it at her before she fled and called 911. Police used license plate reader technology to locate and arrest him at a nearby shopping plaza. He faces a disorderly conduct with a weapon charge. Authorities praised the victim for safely leaving and reporting the incident, which led to a swift arrest without injuries. Officials urged drivers involved in road rage to move to safety and contact police.
