Fintech Sandbox has named Lucas Timberlake its new Executive Director, effective March 12, 2026. Timberlake, a Columbia University graduate and former co-founder of Fintech Ventures Fund, brings over a decade of experience in fintech and insurtech investing, having managed $25 million across 20 startups. He will lead the nonprofit’s strategy, operations, partnerships, and key events like the 12th Demo Day on April 28, 2026. The appointment follows a record year in 2025, when Fintech Sandbox onboarded 74 startups from eight countries, including Argentina, Japan, and Switzerland. Since its founding, the organization has supported over 450 startups, with more than 84% still active or acquired.
