LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku launches "Civic Union" to unite pro-state, pro-EU factions, excluding PDK and AAK, pending President Osmani’s term end.
Lumir Abdixhiku, leader of Kosovo’s Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), announced a new civic initiative called the "Civic Union" aimed at fostering unity among institutionalists, Republic supporters, and Euro-Atlantic advocates.
He emphasized that discussions about merging LDK with President Vjosa Osmani’s faction would wait until her mandate ends in 25 days, stressing respect for institutional roles.
The initiative seeks to overcome past divisions, personal ambitions, and political crises, promoting a shared national vision focused on state-building and European integration.
Abdixhiku clarified the effort excludes the PDK and AAK parties and aims to normalize political life through cooperation and consensus.
