Kacey Musgraves and Miranda Lambert's social media tease led to their first official duet, "Horses and Divorces," on Musgraves’ new album.
Kacey Musgraves and Miranda Lambert revealed their recent social media exchanges were a staged tease for their first official duet, "Horses and Divorces," set to appear on Musgraves’ upcoming album.
The track marks their first true collaboration, though they previously worked together on Lambert’s 2014 hit "Mama’s Broken Heart," which Musgraves co-wrote and sang backing vocals for.
The playful banter, including a post from Musgraves referencing Lambert’s award speech and a response from Lambert, was part of a promotional campaign that also included cryptic Nashville billboards.
The album features additional collaborations with Billy Strings on "Everybody Wants to Be a Cowboy," Gregory Alan Isakov on "Coyote," and an unnamed track titled "Uncertain, TX."
No audio or lyrics have been released, but the project has generated significant buzz.
