flag India plans T20I series vs Sri Lanka and Ireland in 2026 for cyclone relief and schedule balance.

The BCCI is considering adding three T20I matches against Sri Lanka in July or August and a three-match T20I series in Ireland in late June as part of India’s 2026 international schedule. The Sri Lanka games are proposed to aid cyclone relief after Cyclone Ditwah in November 2025. India’s T20I team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, would play these before a Test series against Sri Lanka. The England white-ball tour, featuring three ODIs and five T20Is from July 1 to 19, precedes the Sri Lanka trip. The Ireland series, still under discussion, would follow India’s home series against Afghanistan from June 6 to 20. No official confirmations have been made.
