Andhra Pradesh’s IT minister asked Capgemini to open tech centers in Visakhapatnam, citing infrastructure and academic partnerships.
On March 12, 2026, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh urged Capgemini CEO Aiman Ezzat to establish a Global Capability Center, IT development center, cloud services, and BPM units in Visakhapatnam, citing the city’s emergence as a tech and data center hub.
Lokesh highlighted upcoming infrastructure, including a Greenfield airport and a major Google data center, along with existing tech firms like Cognizant and TCS.
He also proposed collaboration with AP universities on AI, cloud, cybersecurity, and quantum technology labs, and encouraged Capgemini to support the state’s Quantum Valley initiative.
Ezzat acknowledged the request and said Capgemini would review the proposal.
