A 65-year-old man died in a skiing accident on March 9 at Mt. Bachelor in Oregon.

A 65-year-old Portland man, Nigel Barry Young, died in a skiing accident on March 9 on the Wanoga Way Trail at Mt. Bachelor in Oregon. Responders found him unresponsive with no pulse around 2:22 p.m. and pronounced him dead after resuscitation efforts. He was wearing a helmet and skiing with friends who did not witness the crash. The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident with assistance from Mt. Bachelor staff. No further details have been released.
