UCSB baseball wins 13-3, extends win streak to 12 games; St. Joseph reaches CIF-State title game.

The University of California, Santa Barbara baseball team extended its winning streak to 12 games with a 13-3 run-rule victory over Saint Mary’s, powered by Noah Karliner’s three-run home run and strong offensive outbursts in the first, third, and sixth innings. The Gauchos improved to 13-2 on the season and remain ranked 22nd nationally. Cal Poly also won its fifth straight game, defeating Fresno State 13-3 behind Ryan Tayman’s grand slam and Braxton Thomas’s four-hit performance, improving to 9-7 overall. St. Joseph advanced to the CIF-State championship game with a 60-55 win over Saugus, earning its first state title appearance since 2019, and will face Sierra Pacific in the March 14 title game at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center.
