Two suspects in the Nov. 2025 Red Fort blast that killed 15 were remanded for five more days of NIA interrogation.
A Delhi court extended the police custody of two suspects, Zameer Ahmad Ahangar and Tufail Ahmad Bhat, in the Red Fort blast case for five days, allowing the NIA to continue custodial interrogation. The suspects, from Jammu and Kashmir, were arrested in February and have been under NIA custody since, with their remand extended twice. The blast, which killed 15 and injured over 20, involved a car packed with explosives near the Red Fort on November 10, 2025. The NIA cited ongoing security challenges in J&K as hindering the investigation and collected blood samples from the accused. The agency has made 11 arrests in total, linked to a terror plot targeting global coffee outlets in Delhi.
