PhonePe has launched the RuPay On-The-Go Card, a National Common Mobility Card, enabling tap-and-pay transit payments across India’s metros, buses, trains, tolls, and parking without internet.
Initially available at Hyderabad Metro counters, the prepaid card holds up to ₹2,000 and allows single transactions of up to ₹500.
Issued instantly after OTP verification, it’s interoperable nationwide on NCMC-enabled systems and can be recharged via UPI, cash, or card.
The launch supports India’s ‘One Nation One Card’ initiative and marks PhonePe’s expansion into public transit, integrating with its app for digital tickets and recharges.
