The 114-line bus, en route from Bridgewater to New York City’s Port Authority Bus Terminal, was carrying about 25 passengers who evacuated safely with no injuries.
Firefighters quickly contained the blaze, but the incident caused major traffic delays, particularly in the Lincoln Tunnel’s north tube.
The New Jersey State Police are investigating the cause.
