Labour Party leader Chris Hipkins has reshuffled key portfolios ahead of the November election, with Ginny Andersen taking education, Willow-Jean Prime moving to social development, and Vanushi Walters assuming foreign affairs. Damien O’Connor takes defence, Reuben Davidson leads economic development, and Camilla Belich becomes justice spokesperson. New MP Georgie Dansey handles rainbow issues and regulation, while Dan Rosewarne focuses on rural communities and small business. Duncan Webb, retiring, will mentor the team. The changes follow retirements of several MPs, including Peeni Henare and Judith Collins, and aim to strengthen Labour’s readiness to govern on cost of living, jobs, health, and housing.
