USA Today has named Jamie Stockwell vice president of news, effective March 30, to lead newsroom modernization and strengthen its network of over 200 local newspapers.
A veteran journalist with leadership roles at The Washington Post, New York Times, and Axios Local, Stockwell brings experience in digital innovation and impactful storytelling.
She replaces Caren Bohan, who left three months prior, making Stockwell the fourth newsroom leader in three years.
Stockwell, who holds a journalism degree from the University of Texas and executive training from Northwestern and Hearst, will report to Senior Vice President Monica Richardson and focus on expanding USA Today’s national audience through unbiased, fact-driven journalism.
