Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has urged the UN Security Council to designate Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, citing recent attacks that killed 13 civilians in Israel and violated international law.
The IRGC claimed strikes on U.S. military sites in Kuwait and Bahrain, as well as Israeli naval and intelligence facilities.
In response, U.S. and Israeli forces conducted strikes across Iran, damaging nearly 20,000 civilian buildings, including hospitals, schools, and aid centers, according to Iran’s Red Crescent Society.
Thousands attended funerals in Tehran for senior Iranian military figures killed in the attacks, amid escalating regional tensions and growing humanitarian concerns.
