Voters in Georgia’s 14th Congressional District will head to a runoff on April 7 after no candidate won a majority in a special election to replace former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Republican Clay Fuller and Democrat Shawn Harris advanced from a crowded field of 13 candidates, including nine Republicans, three Democrats, a Libertarian, and an independent, under Georgia’s top-two primary system.
Fuller, a district attorney and Georgia Air National Guard lieutenant colonel, received a high-profile endorsement from former President Donald Trump, which he called “rocket fuel.” Harris, a cattle farmer and retired Army brigadier general, positioned himself as a moderate focused on local issues.
The district, stretching from suburban Atlanta to the Tennessee border, backed Trump by 68% in 2024.
The runoff will determine who represents the district in Congress.
