Fourteen-year-old Te Auepo Love-Henry from Murupara has won the New Zealand National Youth Muay Thai title in Gisborne, marking a major milestone in her decade-long career. Trained by her father since age four, she began competing at nine and now balances the sport with rugby and league. Her victory over Te Aronui Maiden follows years of disciplined training and support from her family, who founded the youth gym Tu Taniwha. She is now preparing for the New Zealand Team Trials ahead of the World Championships in Greece.
