Using fake online profiles with stolen photos, he targeted elderly and grieving individuals, convincing them to send money for fabricated medical expenses and inheritance claims.
Agyemang used U.S. bank accounts to receive and launder funds, keeping some for himself.
He also fraudulently obtained about $21,000 in PPP loan funds.
As part of his sentence, he must pay nearly $1.4 million in restitution to victims and $20,800 to the Small Business Administration.
