Buc-ee’s has filed a petition to annex land at the Ohio 39/I-71 interchange in Mansfield, Ohio, marking a key step toward a second Ohio location. The proposed travel center, part of a Type 2 annexation, would allow the city to collect income and utility fees, the county to receive sales tax, and townships to retain their revenue. Mayor Jodie Perry described the project as a major community development beyond a typical gas station, with construction nearing completion on the chain’s first Ohio location in Huber Heights, set to open April 6. The Mansfield site remains in final due diligence, pending approvals.
