A wind farm developer, GP Joule Ireland Ltd, has settled a €1.8 million legal dispute with Green Castle Capital Ltd and Cregmore Construction Company Ltd over an 11-turbine project in County Galway.
The developer claimed the defendants made false representations about securing landowner consent and project readiness, leading to delays and the termination of an exclusivity agreement after two years.
GP Joule sought the return of a €1 million payment and €821,000 in fees, but the defendants argued the delays stemmed from GP Joule’s own requests for revised terms and routes.
The case, filed in Ireland’s fast-track commercial court in December with no opposition, was dismissed after the parties reached a settlement.
