A UK drone pilot banned 17 months for driving with cocaine in his system.
Thomas David Hannam, a 33-year-old drone pilot, was banned from driving for 17 months after being convicted of drug driving in Cumbria.
He was stopped on September 22, 2025, with cocaine metabolite levels eight times above the legal limit, though cannabis was below the threshold.
Officers found drug paraphernalia and a wooden baton, which he said was for protecting his equipment.
He admitted to the charges, lost his contracts, and was ordered to complete 100 hours of community work, pay court costs and a victim surcharge, and have the seized items destroyed.
