To ensure safety and efficiency, the airline reduced payload and limited non-scheduled Middle East flights.
The airspace restrictions have also contributed to a 30% drop in tourist arrivals in Sri Lanka during the first eight days of March 2026, with 47,646 visitors recorded compared to the same period in 2025.
