Sherry Kollmann has been named president of Vermont State University, effective July, following a national search and the retirement of President Dave Bergh.
She brings over 25 years of higher education experience, most recently as chancellor of New Mexico State University Global Campus, where she secured $17 million in state funding, generated $30 million in tuition revenue, and expanded online enrollment by about 3,500 students.
Kollmann will lead the university’s five campuses—Castleton, Johnson, Lyndon, Randolph, and Williston—as it continues to adapt post-consolidation.
Her focus will be on growing enrollment, enhancing both online and in-person learning, and strengthening community partnerships to improve student outcomes.
