Thomas Clasby, former elder services director in Quincy, Massachusetts, pleaded guilty on March 9, 2026, to stealing over $144,000 in federal and city funds between 2020 and 2024.
Prosecutors say he used the money for personal expenses including a used Prius, steak tips, a recording studio session, and a framed self-portrait, and funneled $38,000 through a fake New York contractor.
He also diverted $75,000 from senior program fees.
Clasby, who was fired in May 2024, faces up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $250,000.
Sentencing is set for June 17, 2026.
