Over 30 Indian medical students from Urmia University of Medical Sciences in Iran are preparing to return home via Armenia and Dubai, with the first group expected in New Delhi on March 15 and a second on March 16.
The Indian Embassy is providing logistical support, including temporary accommodation in Qom and potential transport if 40–50 students use the route, but has not issued an official evacuation plan.
Students must have confirmed flights from Armenia to India, pay a $10 visa fee at the border, and travel at their own risk.
A 5–7 day buffer between leaving Iran and flying from Armenia is advised.
The first group’s safe arrival will determine whether others follow the same path.
