Liam O'Leary, formerly of Kiltimagh, County Mayo, has pleaded not guilty to the alleged murder of John Casserly, 59, between October 23 and 24, 2024, at a Fr Peter McVerry Trust housing unit in Ballina.
A jury of 12, including nine men and three women, has been sworn in for a trial set to begin on Tuesday, expected to last up to three weeks.
