India and Fiji advanced cooperation in digital tech, climate, and development during March 2026 talks.

India and Fiji held high-level talks in March 2026 to boost cooperation in digital communications, climate action, waste management, and development finance, led by India’s High Commissioner Suneet Mehta and Fiji’s Minister Lynda Tabuya. Discussions also involved Fiji’s Development Bank CEO and followed previous meetings between Indian and Fijian officials in New Delhi. The bilateral relationship, strengthened since Prime Minister Modi’s 2014 visit and the Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation, focuses on sustainable development, capacity building, and shared cultural ties.
