India approves ₹3,630 crore expressway linking Jewar Airport to Delhi-Mumbai corridor, boosting regional connectivity.
India's cabinet has approved a revised ₹3,630.77 crore cost for a 31.42 km greenfield expressway linking the Jewar International Airport to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway’s Sohna spur.
The project, under the hybrid annuity model, will provide high-speed access from South Delhi, Faridabad, and Gurugram, integrating with major transport routes.
An 11 km elevated section, costing ₹689.24 crore, will be partially funded by Haryana with ₹450 crore.
The airport, which has received an aerodrome license and security clearance, is set to begin operations soon, with commercial flights expected within weeks of final approval.
The corridor supports regional economic growth and aligns with Faridabad’s Master Plan 2031.
