Hawthorn's Dylan Moore apologized after being jailed in Arizona for trespassing during a pre-season trip, leading to fines, counselling, and loss of vice-captaincy.
Hawthorn forward Dylan Moore has apologized for a "foolish mistake" that led to him and teammate Connor Macdonald being jailed in Phoenix, Arizona, in November 2025 during a pre-season trip. The pair were arrested on trespassing charges after Moore climbed onto a scissor-lift; a separate drug paraphernalia charge was dismissed. Both players were fined by the club, ordered to undergo alcohol counselling, and complete community service. Moore, who lost his vice-captaincy, said he regrets letting down teammates and the club. He has since returned to play, featuring in Hawthorn’s opening-round loss to GWS, and is preparing to face Essendon. Court dates remain pending in the U.S., but no further AFL sanctions are expected.
