The trial of former Nigerian Attorney-General Abubakar Malami and his son has been postponed to April 15–16, 2026, after the prosecution was transferred to the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation.
New prosecutor Akinlolu Kehinde, SAN, requested more time to prepare, citing recent接手 of the case.
Malami faces charges including terrorism financing and illegal firearm possession, linked to alleged inaction on terror cases and the storage of a firearm and ammunition at their home in Kebbi State.
Both men pleaded not guilty and remain in custody due to a separate money laundering charge.
The case is being heard in Abuja’s Federal High Court.
