Equinor finds oil and gas near Norway’s North Sea infrastructure, with two new commercial discoveries.
Equinor has made two commercial hydrocarbon discoveries in the North Sea: the Byrding C oil find near the Troll area, estimated at 4–8 million barrels of recoverable oil, and the Frida Kahlo gas and condensate discovery in the Sleipner area, holding 5–9 million barrels of oil equivalent.
Both are near existing infrastructure, with Frida Kahlo expected online by April.
These follow four recent Sleipner-area discoveries totaling 55–140 million barrels of oil equivalent.
