CEO of Police Federation of England and Wales suspended after arrest on fraud charges.
Mukund Krishna, chief executive of the Police Federation of England and Wales, has been suspended after being arrested on suspicion of fraud by abuse of position.
The City of London Police, conducting a year-long investigation dubbed Operation Kuat, detained Krishna and two others during raids at PFEW’s London headquarters and homes in Wales, Somerset, and Surrey.
The federation, which represents over 145,000 police officers, confirmed the suspension and said it continues to operate, with senior officials sharing leadership duties.
The probe focuses on alleged financial misconduct by senior figures, and authorities have urged the public to come forward with information.
Krishna, who earned £701,000 in 2025, previously faced legal scrutiny over free speech decisions.
