Boca Raton voters decide on a 99-year lease to redevelop downtown into a mixed-use project with housing, retail, and a hotel.
Boca Raton voters are deciding Tuesday on the One Boca plan, a proposed 99-year ground lease with the Terra-Frisbie Group to redevelop the downtown government campus into a mixed-use complex with 765 multifamily homes, 182 condos, a hotel, retail, offices, and upgraded public spaces.
Supporters say it will drive economic growth, create jobs, and revitalize the city, while opponents warn of traffic congestion, excessive density, and misleading claims about green space.
A separate bond measure for a new police headquarters is also on the ballot.
The outcome will determine whether the project moves forward.
