Veteran linebacker Alex Anzalone has agreed to a two-year, $17 million deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, ending his five-year tenure with the Detroit Lions.
The 31-year-old, a team captain and starter in all 73 games for Detroit, recorded 95 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and an interception in 2025.
He played nine NFL seasons with 93 starts, totaling 613 tackles, 13 sacks, and four interceptions.
The move strengthens Tampa Bay’s linebacker corps as free agency begins.
