Zurich buys Generali’s Irish non-life unit RedClick for €337M, pending approval, to boost its Irish market position.
Zurich Insurance has agreed to acquire Generali’s Irish non-life insurance unit, RedClick, for €337 million, expanding its presence in the Republic of Ireland.
The deal, pending regulatory approval, is expected to close by late 2026 or early 2027.
RedClick, formerly Liberty Insurance and rebranded in 2024, serves about 250,000 customers and employs 400 people.
The acquisition strengthens Zurich’s position as a top-three insurer in Ireland, aligning its general and life insurance operations.
Generali will retain €51 million in excess capital from the unit.
