UBS CEO Sergio Ermotti received a 2025 compensation package of 14.9 million Swiss francs ($19.1 million), unchanged from 2024, as the bank reported a 53% rise in net profit to $7.8 billion, driven by the successful integration of Credit Suisse. The group-wide bonus pool increased to $5.1 billion. Ermotti’s pay remains controversial amid Swiss regulatory debates over executive compensation and proposed capital rules that could require an additional $22 billion in capital, which UBS opposes. Novartis CEO Vasant Narasimhan’s 24.9 million Swiss franc pay package was called “particularly excessive” by proxy advisory firm Ethos.
